First place in SciDimplomatrix23 competition

The seven students from the 2020/2021 batch of the Faculty of Agriculture got first place in the SciDimplomatrix23 competition conducted by the Genetics and Molecular Biology Society. The Department of Agricultural Biology staff and the Director / CMR guided the students in identifying and preparing posters, which are innovative transdisciplinary solutions to prevailing crises. In that line

1) Automated detector and controller for insect pests and

2) Conflict between Elephant and Human have been identified.

For this competition, 100 posters have been received from the universities of Sri Lanka. Initially, our two posters have been selected from among 16. Finally, at the competition held on 3rd February 2024, it was declared that our posters got 1st place.
